The
Vision of The Worship Center
“Serving the Risen Christ” |
| |
| The vision of The Worship Center is three-fold: |
| |
| 1. To Be a Biblical Church |
| |
—That in all areas: Worship, Spiritual Gifts,
Prayer, and Ministry, we are determined to submit all
beliefs and practices to the evaluation of sound biblical
doctrine that is found in the final revelation of God’s
truth, the Holy Scriptures. |
| |
| 2. To Be a Christ Centered Church |
| |
—That all we believe and practice is to be centered
on the Person of Jesus Christ and His Finished Work on
the Cross. This is to be our main focus and emphasis for
ministry and practice, with the goal of becoming mature
in the love of Christ. We expect the Holy Spirit to be
at work to empower us to lay hold of the rich inheritance
we have in Jesus Christ our Lord. |
| |
| 3. To be An Outgoing Church |
| |
—That we see the Lord’s desire for us demonstrate the
Father’s love through our concern and care, by preaching
the gospel and making disciples. We are called to reach
out to a lost world with the Salvation, Love, Forgiveness,
Mercy, and Grace of God — to fulfill the ministry of the
Lord Jesus Christ as stated in the following Scripture: |
| |
| |
Isaiah 61:1-3 - "The
Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD
has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has
sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty
to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those
who are bound; to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor,
and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all
who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give
them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil
of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise
instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks
of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he
may be glorified."
|
| |
| We recognize that there are many creative
ways the Holy Spirit may lead us to accomplish this great
task, but we committed to fulfilling the Great Commission
in this place where Our Lord has called us to establish
His Kingdom. |
