Altar Building & Prayer - 09.23.06

In September we held a special event as a part of our “Taking the Heights” campaign. Everyone was asked in advance to find a blessing in the Bible and write it on a piece of paper. When we gathered at the church property, everyone found a stone and they were built into an altar. After the altar was completed, an urn was placed on it and one by one everyone came forward and read their blessing and placed the paper in the urn. After every blessing was read, a match was dropped in the urn and the papers were burned as a sacrificial offering.
